Recent releases and drugstore haul

So recently I was sucked into buying some of the new stuff from the high street. I also managed to snap up a few other bits that might have been released ages ago but were quite hyped so I decided to purchase them as well:)

Here are all the little finds I managed to get my hands on!

Starting with a Sleek package, I finally got some more of the pout paints, which most people claim are just like the OCC Lip Tars just cheaper!

From top to bottom: Mauve over, rosette, milkshake & peachy keen.
They are super glossy at first but then they stain your lips, I love the opacity and the colour range! It's a must have for any make up lover!

New blush in Pink Lemonade

Including two pressed powder colours and one cream blush.

Garden of Eden eyeshadow palette by Sleek with gorgeous selection of shades especially for brown eyed girls!

New Revlon Colourburst Lip balms! Finally here after seeing them on so many American you tube channels! From left to right lacquer balms in 120 &115 and matt ones in 205 &220. They have slightly minty /pepperminty smell to them which I am not a huge fan of but it soon goes away. I really like the formula of both, I think the pigmentation for lip crayons is fantastic and the staying power is great too!

And then last swatch of the Revolution lipsticks by Urban Decay. The hot pink one on the left is called Anarchy and the one on the right is called Turn On and is a vibrant but dusty pinky colour. It really resembles my lip colour. I absolutely love those lipsticks, they are creamy, rich and highly pigmented, I already own Venom and I like it I just needed something more toned for everyday use:)

I also got new Miss Manga mascara by L'Oreal, and as much as I like the look it creates on your lashes I really don't understand the bendy wand idea:/ It just bends when I need to get deep to the roots of my lashes, all in all I'm not a fan!

And then last but not least is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in Classic Ivory. And as much as I like the texture of it I'm not sure if its only me or what but it super oxidised on my face making me look like an orange! I will be picking a different shade just to give it another go before I completely scrap the idea of this foundation. It has great reviews both in blog world and you tube so maybe it's just the shade that doesn't suit me.

Also don't forget to check out my video:)

Sleek iDivine Garden of Eden palette review with swatches!

As I promised I will be more active on my blog this year:) So here is my second post on this new Sleek palette Garden of Eden. I bought it online for £7.99 along with some pout paints and the new blush by 3 palette in Pink Lemonade. I will review this later on in the week!

This palette has a gorgeous selection of colours and nice variety of finishes. It is a perfect palette for brunettes but not only!

Picture taken from sleek.com

Here is the picture of the palette inside. Nothing is different about the packaging, it's sturdy and sleek. I always loved Sleek eye palettes for their huge mirror! I just wish they would have a little label at the back of the palette with names of colours because I already have lost the little clear plastic lid with all the shadow names.

This palette has a lovely selection of browns and greens but also some pinky/ mauvy colours. I was really drawn to the green shades as I don't have a lot of them in my collection even though they are so flattering on brown eyes!

The palette has 7 shimmery shades, 2 with gold speckles and 3 matt ones. All the shimmery shadows here have been swatched only once. The matt shades are nicely pigmented except light green one called Adam's Apple, which is so sheer it looks more like a little bruise than a swatch! I might try putting it over a white base to make it more visible! The biggest disappointment are two eyeshadows with gold sparkles in them, they are called Forbidden and Entwined. They are nice colours, but not only not very well pigmented the speckles of gold don't show up on the swatch.

All in all the palette has a fantastic range of shades. I love most of them! And the quality of the eyeshadows is great considering you are only spending £7.99. It makes a nice addition to my Sleek eye palette collection so I would definitely recommend it:)

Do you have one? I would love to hear what you think about it!

MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy stud eyeshadow palette review with swatches

Ok, my new years resolution is to make more use of my blog. Not only for beauty purposes but also to document our everyday life and the special moments that happen:) And I think this year there is going to be at least one very special moment, but I will talk about it in my next post!

Today I wanted to review for you a new eyeshadow palette from Make Up Academy Luxe.

It is pretty obvious I am talking about new MUA Pretty Edgy palette.

It's safe to say that I was won over by the packaging alone! It's gorgeous, it's edgy, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy but it's not too bulky considering the studs...

The outer case is shiny so you can see finger marks quite easily however just one swipe of a wet wipe or tissue gets rid of all the mess which is a bonus if you like keeping your palettes nice and tidy:)

These are the names of the colours in the palette.
From left to right top to bottom:
Antique, Bow, Toile, Ruffle, Flounce, Lace
Sinful, Gothic, Wrath, Envy.

Those are the colours taken without flash in natural light.

Picture taken in natural sunlight.

Swatches of top row here are gorgeous. Picture taken in natural sunlight. They are subtle and shimmery with great array of colours from very light through neutral to more browney ones.

The bottom row is all matt, and yet again the colour combo in here is fantastic! Sinful is a perfect colour for blending the crease, very subtle and skin like and the rest of colours are fantastic to accent the outer corner of the eye. Can I also add that I am super impressed by MUA for coming up with such pigmented matt eyeshadows! Picture taken in natural sunlight.

All in all the quality of the eyeshadows is great, considering the price. I love all the shimmery colours and I am very impressed by the matts in this palette. Most of the shades are nice to work with. You might experience a little bit of fallout on some of the eyeshadows but you come across this in higher end palettes as well so it's not a huge problem.

The variety of colours is perfect for everyday use but also you can create a stunning evening look with those. I absolutely love the packaging and did I mention it has a huge mirror inside which is a huge plus especially if you want to take a palette with you when you are travelling!
I found myself using this palette on everyday basis for the last couple of weeks so for me it's an absolute must have!

I bought it for £8 on MUA website as my local Superdrug doesn't have it in stock.

MUA Luxe Velvet Lips Lacquer review, swatches and a great dupe!

Hello lovlies! Today I will be writing a quick review about something that the beauty world has been waiting for! And it is the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquers!

I like MUA, especially their eyeshadows and the undress highlighter, but what they came up with surprised me so much and made me super excited! Everyone knows MUA is a cheap UK drugstore brand, but the velvet lip lacquers deserve to be on the same shelf as the more high end products!

I managed to snap mine up at my local Superdrug, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on all the colours! So there are 5 colours in the collection and they are all very bold. I would love to see MUA come up with some more neutral colours that could be more wearable during the day.

This is lip lacquer in Atomic, a gorgeous bright red verging on an orange, it is so bright I haven't had enough courage to wear it out yet!

This one is in the colour Reckless and it's the most gorgeous deep sexy red, that will be perfect to create any Christmas worthy look! I will definitely wear it to my husbands work Christmas party. I would wear it on daily basis with a nice nude eye as well.

This hot pink beauty is called Criminal. It is a beautiful bright pink lacquer that really suits my complexion. I think it will be perfect for spring/summer time as for this time of year I think the winner is the next one on the list...

Funk is by far my favourite for autumn/winter. It is darker than Criminal and in my opinion much better suited for this time of year. I have been wearing it every day since I got them all, I seriously can't put it down. It is bright but toned at the same time. I love it!

Last one is Kooky. What can I say? It is a gorgeous and true purple lip lacquer. I haven't put it on my lips yet as the colour scares me a little bit. I think it will look good with a grungey look. It is a blue based purple I think I would prefer a much warmer tone.

They come in a simple but pretty packaging. I like the fact that you can see the actual tubes through it, however it was quite hard finding names of each velvet lacquer at the back of the box.

Here are the swatches taken in natural light.

Overall I can't praise MUA enough for producing such high quality product. Starting from the packaging, the sleek frosted acrylic tubes look very high end. The outer packaging is simple yet elegant.

The formula is amazing! It applies like butter, it doesn't produce any streaks when applied and it gives you a couple of minutes before it dries to correct any mistakes or potentially apply another coat. The pigmentation is fantastic, I don't find a need to reapply to strengthen the colour.

The lip lacquer stays on for a long time, and unless you eat very greasy foods it will definitely stay put. Even drinking doesn't budge it. It doesn't transfer as well so an alert for all the boys! Get your girls one of these and you won't have a problem of a smudged red lipstick all over your faces! I've noticed slight wear from the inside of the lips when I was eating, but don't get me wrong it certainly isn't a deal breaker! If anything I was surprised it wasn't as much as I expected initially.

It may feel drying on your lips initially after application, but I think it's mainly the sensation of the product drying on your lips as I haven't noticed my lips being dryer this past week after using lip lacquers.

The only downside is the removal of the product. You need some hardcore make up remover to take these bad boys off. I use oil based make up remover and then you're laughing. But seriously, if this is the only flaw I can find with this product in my opinion it does't even count!

So... what are you waiting for??! Get down to Superdrug and grab as many as you can! Because at £3 per item it's a steal! Also I haven't had a pleasure to try them myself but I've heard lots of people saying that MUA Luxe Velvet Lip formula is a dupe for Lime Crime's Velvetines that retail at much higher price!

Also check out my You Tube video talking about these gems!

Thank you so much for tuning in and hopefully it won't be long until my next post:)

Gorgeous gem of a collection All For Children H&M for UNICEF Halloween 2013 costumes!

So after yet another long break here I am to show you my recent discovery! It will only be a flying visit but I promise more posts from the life events that have certainly kept me busy in the last couple of months! One of them and possibly the most important one was my daughter's 3rd birthday! I can't wait to show you the pictures from the party as I poured my heart and soul into organising everything!

But...back to the subject of a gem I accidentally stumbled across when shopping for my mother in law's birthday present! It is ladies and gentleman a kids collection by H&M for UNICEF All For Children!!!!

Tadaaaaah!

Ok so if you already knew about it, oh well.. but seriously if you still haven't seen it you definitely must!!!! Every so often H&M comes up with a small collection where 25% of the profits are donated to UNICEF. Not only you are supporting children in need but also getting your hands on some amazing pieces!

Here below is the picture of a fabric house tent I got for my daughter last year, and I couldn't be more happy with it. The size is perfect for a few little people to play in it comfortably but also the colours were right up my alley!

And then today was the amazing discovery of the Halloween 2013 collection for All For Kids by H&M!!!! When you look at it, it transports you back to the days where dames wore fancy frocks and wigs and pirates ruled the seas! It is fabulous!!! I managed to snap up a Marie Antoinette style dress, however I was gutted to discover when I got home that there is a wig to go with it and unfortunately it was sold out in a shop:( But i will definitely be on a lookout for one;)) I already 'employed' my mum to  hopefully hunt it down in one of her local shops!

Here are the pictures of the collection and closer pictures of the dress I got for Annabell as her halloween outfit!

And here is the dress...

...and the missing wig!

Hope you enjoyed looking at those beauties. All the pictures were taken from H&M website http://www.hm.com/gb/ .

I will for sure be posting soon with all the lovely pictures from Annabell's 3rd birthday!

Thanks for looking:D Speak to you soon!

Huge make up beauty haul from Poland

So here we are! 3 weeks already after my short trip to Poland. I would be lying if I said I don't enjoy shopping, and as you can get different things to those in the UK I went a little bit crazy. Sit back and enjoy the beauties I am about to show you!

All those goodies were bought in a shop called Douglas. It is an upmarket beauty shop, I believe it is a German chain. I got Glamglow facemask (finally, I've been eyeing up this bad boy for ages!), Biotherm micellar make up remover. Anny, Peggy Sage, OPI and Essence nail polishes, Essence blusher and two eyeshadows, Essence eyeliner and a couple of make up brushes.

Then it was time for Sephora! I was so excited to go there, since there aren't any in the UK! So I was pleasantly surprised to find out my little home town has two Sephoras!!!
I got make up remover in a handy dispenser, Sephora make up brush, my all time favourite lipstick in colour 38 and three different eyeshadows. I don't know if its because I spent more or what but the ladies working there were really nice and gave me a palette to keep my eyeshadows in!

This is the aftermath of 'popping in' to a Polish drugstore (mainly Rossmann)!
I got some face brushes to wash my face with, Wibo & Lovely nail polishes, Wibo growing lashes mascara (green in the picture and since that trip my holy grail!) and some Maybelline Colour Wisper lipsticks! I wanted to run around in circles when I found these!!!!! I've heard so many amazing things about them I snapped up 5 colours that I thought I would like and baby do I like them or do I like them??!! Of course, I love them!!! So glad I got them as they are still not available in the UK!

My last shopping destination was Inglot. Do I even need to introduce this brand ladies and gentleman? Probably not:P The pride that's in me that this amazing brand is Polish just grows with every new video I see on You Tube, with all the beauty guru's loving their products! And rightly so! Not only they are very affordable comparing to some other high end, well known brands but also the quality of them justifies all the praises!

I got another 10 square freedom eyeshadow palette. I just could't resist! The colours are as follow (from left to right, top to bottom): 351, 395, 353, 467, 144, 124, 147, 378, 325, 439.
I managed to compose a perfect palette that can take me from day to night look in no time, with great combination of matte and pearly eyeshadows.

Next on the list is the beautiful 5 square freedom lipstick & lipgloss palette. So here are the colours from left to right: 100, 96, 98, 203, 205. I picked the colours I knew I will wear, even though all the crazy colours like blue, green and yellow were extremely tempting!

I also got some loose eyeshadows in 12, 52 & 65,  a lip liner and mattifying loose powder.

And here are some pictures from our flying visit.

I hope you enjoyed the haul post, please don't forget to check my you tube channel www.youtube.com/tinkaseveryday for a haul video and more!

Hope you have a good day! xxx

Glossybox August 2013

Oh my, oh my! I am ashamed to say I've been away for so long and haven't posted anything on here!!

But to be fair I do have quite a good excuse!

We have finally moved and were decorating like crazy for the last three months. It's not all done yet but it got to the stage where its going to be like this for a little while, until we save up a little bit more! Then I can do a little "house tour" picture post thingy ;)

Anyways this post was supposed to be about Glossybox so here it is!

This months subscription was Highfliers edition and it contained some really exciting products!

Firstly was the Olay Regenerist cream. I haven't tried a lot of products from that brand so I am excited to do so, especially that I've noticed so many fine lines popping up here and there!  The only downside of the sample I got was that it wasn't in a pot shown on the picture. I was expecting a miniature sample pot of the original, but instead got this cheap looking sample. But at the end of the day what's important is what it does to my face not how it looks. It says its a three point cream that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, retains elasticity and suppleness.
Full size 50ml rrp £29.99

Second on the list is the Jelly Pong Pong creamy 2-in-1 crayon that can be used as a liner or smudges like eyeshadow. I got a dark green-gray colour in my box. To be honest I'm not a great fun of the colour or products like this but I will give it a go and see how we get on. These type of crayons tend to settle in the lines of my eyelid and not last too long.
Full size £10.50 (and we get a full size product in the box)

Then I suppose the biggest surprise of all is the Emite Make up eyelash curler! Its been developed in Sweden by professional make up artists. Use before applying mascara. It looks quite sleek with its black metal and red rubbery bits!
It retails at approximately £20!

Next we have Tresemmé platinum strength treatment shot. It's been made to transform frizzed out and fried hair into beach goddess worthy tresses. You are meant to apply it once a week to damaged parts of your hair but not the roots.
Full size 15ml is £1.49 and we also get full size here

And last but not least is the Óceane make up remover in a pen. When you're out and about its a perfect companion for touching up make up on the go. At first I didn't see a need of buying things like this but now I think it can be handy when you need a quick touch up and you're not at home!
You get a full size product but no price as this product is not available in the UK yet.

All in all I'm very pleased with my box. I think my favourite thing so far (before testing out any of the products) is the eyelash curler as I was meant to buy one for ages and never got round to doing it. So very happy I got it. I wil be testing how the other products perform and hopefully writing a little view about them!

Also don't forget to check back soon as I will be posting pictures of the haul from Poland! Lots of Inglot make up and more!

Check my video out on my you tube channel www.youtube.com/tinkaseveryday

Thank you and have a good day! Xxx
