MUA Luxe Velvet Lips Lacquer review, swatches and a great dupe!

Hello lovlies! Today I will be writing a quick review about something that the beauty world has been waiting for! And it is the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquers!

I like MUA, especially their eyeshadows and the undress highlighter, but what they came up with surprised me so much and made me super excited! Everyone knows MUA is a cheap UK drugstore brand, but the velvet lip lacquers deserve to be on the same shelf as the more high end products!

I managed to snap mine up at my local Superdrug, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on all the colours! So there are 5 colours in the collection and they are all very bold. I would love to see MUA come up with some more neutral colours that could be more wearable during the day.

This is lip lacquer in Atomic, a gorgeous bright red verging on an orange, it is so bright I haven't had enough courage to wear it out yet!

This one is in the colour Reckless and it's the most gorgeous deep sexy red, that will be perfect to create any Christmas worthy look! I will definitely wear it to my husbands work Christmas party. I would wear it on daily basis with a nice nude eye as well.

This hot pink beauty is called Criminal. It is a beautiful bright pink lacquer that really suits my complexion. I think it will be perfect for spring/summer time as for this time of year I think the winner is the next one on the list...

Funk is by far my favourite for autumn/winter. It is darker than Criminal and in my opinion much better suited for this time of year. I have been wearing it every day since I got them all, I seriously can't put it down. It is bright but toned at the same time. I love it!

Last one is Kooky. What can I say? It is a gorgeous and true purple lip lacquer. I haven't put it on my lips yet as the colour scares me a little bit. I think it will look good with a grungey look. It is a blue based purple I think I would prefer a much warmer tone.

They come in a simple but pretty packaging. I like the fact that you can see the actual tubes through it, however it was quite hard finding names of each velvet lacquer at the back of the box.

Here are the swatches taken in natural light.

Overall I can't praise MUA enough for producing such high quality product. Starting from the packaging, the sleek frosted acrylic tubes look very high end. The outer packaging is simple yet elegant.

The formula is amazing! It applies like butter, it doesn't produce any streaks when applied and it gives you a couple of minutes before it dries to correct any mistakes or potentially apply another coat. The pigmentation is fantastic, I don't find a need to reapply to strengthen the colour.

The lip lacquer stays on for a long time, and unless you eat very greasy foods it will definitely stay put. Even drinking doesn't budge it. It doesn't transfer as well so an alert for all the boys! Get your girls one of these and you won't have a problem of a smudged red lipstick all over your faces! I've noticed slight wear from the inside of the lips when I was eating, but don't get me wrong it certainly isn't a deal breaker! If anything I was surprised it wasn't as much as I expected initially.

It may feel drying on your lips initially after application, but I think it's mainly the sensation of the product drying on your lips as I haven't noticed my lips being dryer this past week after using lip lacquers.

The only downside is the removal of the product. You need some hardcore make up remover to take these bad boys off. I use oil based make up remover and then you're laughing. But seriously, if this is the only flaw I can find with this product in my opinion it does't even count!

So... what are you waiting for??! Get down to Superdrug and grab as many as you can! Because at £3 per item it's a steal! Also I haven't had a pleasure to try them myself but I've heard lots of people saying that MUA Luxe Velvet Lip formula is a dupe for Lime Crime's Velvetines that retail at much higher price!

Also check out my You Tube video talking about these gems!

Thank you so much for tuning in and hopefully it won't be long until my next post:)

Gorgeous gem of a collection All For Children H&M for UNICEF Halloween 2013 costumes!

So after yet another long break here I am to show you my recent discovery! It will only be a flying visit but I promise more posts from the life events that have certainly kept me busy in the last couple of months! One of them and possibly the most important one was my daughter's 3rd birthday! I can't wait to show you the pictures from the party as I poured my heart and soul into organising everything!

But...back to the subject of a gem I accidentally stumbled across when shopping for my mother in law's birthday present! It is ladies and gentleman a kids collection by H&M for UNICEF All For Children!!!!

Tadaaaaah!

Ok so if you already knew about it, oh well.. but seriously if you still haven't seen it you definitely must!!!! Every so often H&M comes up with a small collection where 25% of the profits are donated to UNICEF. Not only you are supporting children in need but also getting your hands on some amazing pieces!

Here below is the picture of a fabric house tent I got for my daughter last year, and I couldn't be more happy with it. The size is perfect for a few little people to play in it comfortably but also the colours were right up my alley!

And then today was the amazing discovery of the Halloween 2013 collection for All For Kids by H&M!!!! When you look at it, it transports you back to the days where dames wore fancy frocks and wigs and pirates ruled the seas! It is fabulous!!! I managed to snap up a Marie Antoinette style dress, however I was gutted to discover when I got home that there is a wig to go with it and unfortunately it was sold out in a shop:( But i will definitely be on a lookout for one;)) I already 'employed' my mum to  hopefully hunt it down in one of her local shops!

Here are the pictures of the collection and closer pictures of the dress I got for Annabell as her halloween outfit!

And here is the dress...

...and the missing wig!

Hope you enjoyed looking at those beauties. All the pictures were taken from H&M website http://www.hm.com/gb/ .

I will for sure be posting soon with all the lovely pictures from Annabell's 3rd birthday!

Thanks for looking:D Speak to you soon!

Huge make up beauty haul from Poland

So here we are! 3 weeks already after my short trip to Poland. I would be lying if I said I don't enjoy shopping, and as you can get different things to those in the UK I went a little bit crazy. Sit back and enjoy the beauties I am about to show you!

All those goodies were bought in a shop called Douglas. It is an upmarket beauty shop, I believe it is a German chain. I got Glamglow facemask (finally, I've been eyeing up this bad boy for ages!), Biotherm micellar make up remover. Anny, Peggy Sage, OPI and Essence nail polishes, Essence blusher and two eyeshadows, Essence eyeliner and a couple of make up brushes.

Then it was time for Sephora! I was so excited to go there, since there aren't any in the UK! So I was pleasantly surprised to find out my little home town has two Sephoras!!!
I got make up remover in a handy dispenser, Sephora make up brush, my all time favourite lipstick in colour 38 and three different eyeshadows. I don't know if its because I spent more or what but the ladies working there were really nice and gave me a palette to keep my eyeshadows in!

This is the aftermath of 'popping in' to a Polish drugstore (mainly Rossmann)!
I got some face brushes to wash my face with, Wibo & Lovely nail polishes, Wibo growing lashes mascara (green in the picture and since that trip my holy grail!) and some Maybelline Colour Wisper lipsticks! I wanted to run around in circles when I found these!!!!! I've heard so many amazing things about them I snapped up 5 colours that I thought I would like and baby do I like them or do I like them??!! Of course, I love them!!! So glad I got them as they are still not available in the UK!

My last shopping destination was Inglot. Do I even need to introduce this brand ladies and gentleman? Probably not:P The pride that's in me that this amazing brand is Polish just grows with every new video I see on You Tube, with all the beauty guru's loving their products! And rightly so! Not only they are very affordable comparing to some other high end, well known brands but also the quality of them justifies all the praises!

I got another 10 square freedom eyeshadow palette. I just could't resist! The colours are as follow (from left to right, top to bottom): 351, 395, 353, 467, 144, 124, 147, 378, 325, 439.
I managed to compose a perfect palette that can take me from day to night look in no time, with great combination of matte and pearly eyeshadows.

Next on the list is the beautiful 5 square freedom lipstick & lipgloss palette. So here are the colours from left to right: 100, 96, 98, 203, 205. I picked the colours I knew I will wear, even though all the crazy colours like blue, green and yellow were extremely tempting!

I also got some loose eyeshadows in 12, 52 & 65,  a lip liner and mattifying loose powder.

And here are some pictures from our flying visit.

I hope you enjoyed the haul post, please don't forget to check my you tube channel www.youtube.com/tinkaseveryday for a haul video and more!

Hope you have a good day! xxx

Glossybox August 2013

Oh my, oh my! I am ashamed to say I've been away for so long and haven't posted anything on here!!

But to be fair I do have quite a good excuse!

We have finally moved and were decorating like crazy for the last three months. It's not all done yet but it got to the stage where its going to be like this for a little while, until we save up a little bit more! Then I can do a little "house tour" picture post thingy ;)

Anyways this post was supposed to be about Glossybox so here it is!

This months subscription was Highfliers edition and it contained some really exciting products!

Firstly was the Olay Regenerist cream. I haven't tried a lot of products from that brand so I am excited to do so, especially that I've noticed so many fine lines popping up here and there!  The only downside of the sample I got was that it wasn't in a pot shown on the picture. I was expecting a miniature sample pot of the original, but instead got this cheap looking sample. But at the end of the day what's important is what it does to my face not how it looks. It says its a three point cream that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, retains elasticity and suppleness.
Full size 50ml rrp £29.99

Second on the list is the Jelly Pong Pong creamy 2-in-1 crayon that can be used as a liner or smudges like eyeshadow. I got a dark green-gray colour in my box. To be honest I'm not a great fun of the colour or products like this but I will give it a go and see how we get on. These type of crayons tend to settle in the lines of my eyelid and not last too long.
Full size £10.50 (and we get a full size product in the box)

Then I suppose the biggest surprise of all is the Emite Make up eyelash curler! Its been developed in Sweden by professional make up artists. Use before applying mascara. It looks quite sleek with its black metal and red rubbery bits!
It retails at approximately £20!

Next we have Tresemmé platinum strength treatment shot. It's been made to transform frizzed out and fried hair into beach goddess worthy tresses. You are meant to apply it once a week to damaged parts of your hair but not the roots.
Full size 15ml is £1.49 and we also get full size here

And last but not least is the Óceane make up remover in a pen. When you're out and about its a perfect companion for touching up make up on the go. At first I didn't see a need of buying things like this but now I think it can be handy when you need a quick touch up and you're not at home!
You get a full size product but no price as this product is not available in the UK yet.

All in all I'm very pleased with my box. I think my favourite thing so far (before testing out any of the products) is the eyelash curler as I was meant to buy one for ages and never got round to doing it. So very happy I got it. I wil be testing how the other products perform and hopefully writing a little view about them!

Also don't forget to check back soon as I will be posting pictures of the haul from Poland! Lots of Inglot make up and more!

Thank you and have a good day! Xxx

What's in my Glossybox? April 2013 UK

Long time coming but here I am! Quick note to share with you what I got in my Glossybox this month. It was a Pearl Lowe edition and I absolutely adore the design of the box!

I was quite excited about the things I got as at least 3 or 4 products are something I probably would have gotten myself! Let's start!

Sunsense daily face SPF 50+ cream. Oil free formula, idea for all skin types, tinted for sheer matte finish... Blah blah blah. I'm not really that excited to get it for two reasons, firstly I have my skincare routine that I'm happy with at the moment, I haven't tried it yet so can't pass any judgements regarding the formula etc but I'm definitely not happy with the packaging! The sample has a snap off bottom, which I think is not doing the product any favours being open all the time, storing the sample and making sure little hands of my darling angel don't get to it and squeeze the content out, I just don't like the packaging of the sample and it is putting me off from purchasing a full size product. (Full size 75g retails for £18.50)

Next is the NIP + FAB dry skin fix body butter in mango. Even though I am not a huge moisturising fan, I know it's good for you and you should do it, for some reason this is one of the things I avoid! Anyways, the formula is really nice, it's not too heavy and absorbs well. I prefer body moisturising products in a pump bottle as I hate touching everything after with my greasy hands but this tub I suppose is just as simple as it gets. This product really reminds me of body butters by The Body Shop... Even the scent from memory is very similar! This product retails for £9.95 for 200ml so you get more for your money than in The Body Shop as their body butters retail for £13!

Then I got a really nice surprise and received Sleek blush in Pixie Pink. If you have seen my YT channel you probably would have gathered from some of my hauls that I absolutely adore Sleek! They have a fantastic range of products and the quality is really high as well. Their powder products are highly pigmented as well as lipsticks. I haven't tried anything else by them. Full size 8g retails at £4.49.

Next is the Yves Rocher France 'So Elixir' perfume. I really like the scent, its quite sweet at first but then as you smell it it gains a little bit of body, this is the kind of scent I would have picked for myself. The leaflet says ' it boasts a unique infusion of tuberose, vetiver and patchouli culminating in a floral-woody elixir.' I totally agree! I also like the look of the bottle which I assume is just a miniature of the original one, I think it looks much more expensive and luxurious than the simple atomiser samples. You also get 5ml in the sample as opposed to 1ml normally. It retails at £44 for 50ml.

And last but not least is the Essie nail polish in she's pampered. I really like this colour as its not a true red but kind of reminds me of brick red if that makes sense. I tend to go for the vivid Ferrari reds but I am looking forward to trying this polish out on my nails! I absolutely love the formula, colours, brush and durability of Essie nail varnish, so this one definitely a keeper!
Full size 13,5ml retails at £7.99.

Poland And Inglot

This note will be short and sweet, but there is more to come!

Here we are in our beautiful Poland, freezing our butts off. I know it's no better anywhere else but -7C is a bit keen...and that's during the day! Spring has seriously disappointed us this year, but we wrap up warm and soldier on, that's what we can do!

Anyways I am here to talk to you about make up! I am super obsessed with coloured make up at the moment, in particular Inglot brand. I am full of admiration for Mr Inglot, how clever he was in his business ventures and how quickly he expanded to so many international locations! It is very rare for a polish brand to succeed on international scene, therefore being a Pole and having such an amazing company come from Poland makes me very proud!

I thought it was only appropriate to spend some time and money at their counter and get some stuff.

I adore their eye shadows, not only they look gorgeous, are well pigmented but also you can pick and mix them and place them in customisable palettes, which I absolutely love!

Here are some of the things I got, more make up and skincare to come:)

Eyeshadows in a palette of 10
141,142,463,153,462,399,501,502,434,53.

Eyeshadow pots

You Tube

So after many many videos that I recorded and have done nothing with them, finally I plucked up the courage to edit my first video and put it on You Tube. Why don't you pop in and have a little look:)) I will do beauty reviews, hauls and general topics regarding weight loss, children etc...

At first I thought it was really silly to sit in a room by yourself and talk to the camera, but after a couple of tries I became more confident, and now I can even see my personality is starting to emerge as well:) I'm very new to the whole thing so please be nice:)

Today I wanted to write about weight loss and beauty. After my daughter was born I always had an excuse to be plump as 'I only just gave birth'! I never got out of my leggings as they are more forgiving than jeans! Also my husband didn't help as he always told me how much he loves me and paid me compliments. I know he just didn't want to put me down and I do appreciate it. But after my daughter's second birthday not only I had to 'slim' myself down in all the pictures, because I couldn't stand the sight of my chubby face, we also started to introduce her to the idea of maybe some time in the future having a sibling, to which she touched my tummy and said 'baby brother baby sister in mummy's belly'. I think that was my wake up call. If my 2 year old thinks I'm pregnant what do other people think?!
And it's not like I care about what anyone else thinks of me, but I do want to look good for my husband, I do want to look and feel good for myself and I do want to be a healthy mum to my daughter and hopefully to my future child.

So 5 weeks ago I was dragged to a Slimming World meeting by my friend Claire. We have joined SW once before, but I never got my head around it and the group wasn't what I was looking for.

I knew that this time round I will do it, I liked the group straight away, the lady that runs it looks amazing, she is a true inspiration! The people are very nice and they have an amazing track record of achievements! I also think that going to meetings regularly helps with the motivation, especially if you are a very competitive person like me;))

I am 6 weeks in and going for a weight in on Wednesday keeping my fingers crossed that I have achieved my 1 stone award! So far I have lost 12lbs and this week I can cross 1/3rd of my weight loss journey off! I am aiming to loose 3 stone. So please keep your fingers crossed!:D

I don't really see any changes in my body (I suppose the weight loss is not that significant and I see myself every day so it is harder for me to notice it) but a few nice things have happened since I started. My coat fits better, I am less tired ever day and try to go out almost every day for 30 min at least, and also the dress I bought not that long ago that never fit me, was perfect for our valentine's dinner! I am happy with my regular weight loss, and loosing 2lbs a week is much healthier than any crush diets etc. I still have a long way to go, but at least I made a start and I am sticking to my NY resolution:D

Anyways, enough talking about chubby me:D As you may already know I love all things beauty and nails related so here is some pictures of my recent nails and new nail varnishes I got in the past few weeks:) All nail varnishes pictured here are also featured on my haul video on you tube:D

This was my valentine's nails. I wore a nude dress with gold accessories so I thought gold accent nail would look great! Nail varnishes worn here are Barry M in Lychee and Milani gold glitter.

These are all different nail polish brands that I got from left to right : Barry M in Lychee and Greenberry, Revlon Pink Chiffon, N7 limited edition Tip Toes, Sally Hansen, Barry M silver glitter and pink glitter and Essie in Bahama Mama.

Those are my China Glaze nail polishes I got from Beauty Joint (btw amazing website for beauty bargains!) From left to right: Nude, Innocence, Something Sweet, Shocking Pink, Pink Voltage, Sugar High, Fifth Avenue, Purple Panic (neon) and Flying Dragon.

Hopefully you enjoyed this post and see you soon for more:D

Nails nails nails...

This post will be devoted to nails. As I got a little plumpy lately I think nicely painted nails give me a lot of confidence. I did join slimming world last Wednesday and I am half way through my first week but it will be a long time until I start seeing some results and reach my goal weight. Anyways I love nail varnish and having my nails painted. I love the fact that you can change colour/ design as you please to suit your mood.

I have discovered something new called indie nail polishes. That means someone has made them at home, they are usually limited edition. Shops that specialise in those kind of nail varnishes are llarowe, Harlow and co and pshiiit. I have got complete fixation for enchanted polish! Their colours are fabulous!!

So without a further adieu here are my nails over the last couple of weeks.

Ps. Ok so I am blogging from my new iPad and still don't know how to use the new fangle tangle app and stuff so I have no clue how to add description under my pics. But if anyone is interested what nail polish I a using here is a little index ( starting from the top)! Essie Bermuda shorts ( I believe it has been discontinued and what a shame as the colour is divine!) with Andrea Fullerton gemstone topcoat, 3 different caviar nail colours ( found in the local pound shop!!! What a fantastic bargain find!), next one is essie bermuda shorts with a layer of butter London in frilly knickers, next a bit of purple with a gorgeous n7 polish with a layer of ozotic 906 ( I absolutely love ozotic nail polish! You can wear it on its own or over coloured polish!). Next picture shows models own one of the beetle juice collection polish in purple with Enchanted Polish in ciao Milano ( helloooooo you haven't heard of Enchanted Polish??!! Where the hell have you been all this time?! Tbh it's a new company on my radar and OMG have I fallen in love or have I fallen in love?! An indie brand with the most amazing sets of polish! It doesn't help all is limited edition so literally within seconds from becoming available it sells out!!!!) Ciao Milano gives the beetle juice a gorgeous dimension and depending on where the light shines the polish is like a chameleon changing from green to purple to gold yellow pink and blue. Words can't describe!
Next picture is essie not just a pretty face which is a pretty nude with Deborah Lippmann boom boom pow over it. I've seen a picture on Pinterest of a similar manicure and I was in love, who doesn't like a little bit of bling in their daily lives? Especially if its painted over subtle nude! And last but not least BLING by milani jewel fx! I think it is a perfect polish to add a bit of umpf to your mani, ie nude nails with ring finger and small finger nails painted in gold jewel fx... At the moment I got silver, red, fuchsia and gold. I absolutely adore those polishes! They are cheap but be mindful of postage from the US to the UK! I think these are worth the money.

Anyways hopefully you enjoyed today's post, apologies for dry cuticles and bad pictures, but lately we had a lot of stuff going on and I didn't have too much time to sort them out! I decided to start a channel on you tube as well. So far I've recorded two glossy box reviews and didn't even edit them! For the first time ever I felt so conscious and self aware and I absolutely hated my voice and my facial expressions when I was talking, lets hope it improves:)) xx
