Makeup Revolution and I ♡ Makeup haul! Too faced Sweethearts dupe!?

I think everyone is familiar with Makeup Revolution brand by now. They have appeared out of nowhere and taken the market by storm, producing some amazing products!

And they have done it again! Bringing out lots of new products and introducing us to a totally new sister brand called  I ♡ Makeup!

I got a selection of things from both. Below you can see Girls on film eyeshadow palette.

The shadows are nicely pigmented, you get 12 shimmery shades and 6 matte ones. They are not powdery and really smooth to apply. They also blend well so all in all A+ from me!

This is Dia de los muertos palette, which has some really wearable colours but also a selection of more vibrant ones for more adventurous looks!

My favourite has to be the matte purple and the bottom row of shimmery shades! What fantastic selection.

Now onto completely new brand  I ♡ Makeup! The selection of products they offer is more limited than Makeup revolution. They mainly have eyeshadow palettes, lip products and blushers/ bronzers range.

I was really tempted by the Blushing Hearts range. It reminds me so much of the Too Faced Sweethearts so much! I don't own the Too Faced blusher but comparing pictures of both products it looks like a good dupe possibility!

Here is the full range of the heart shaped face products. It consists of 3 blushers, 2 bronzers and 1 highlighter.

From the left Goddess of love highlighter, Summer of love & Love hot summer bronzers.

From the left: Candy queen of hears, Blushing heart & Peachy keen heart.

My favourite one has to be Candy queen of hearts (far left) as it gives you a perfect amount of colour and glow without it being too sparkly. The other two have some silver sparkle in them, so if you are not a fan I would keep that in mind.

Next are the Lip Geek lipsticks. I love the packaging of these. They remind me of a Mac lipstick bullet style packaging but in a vibrant pink metallic colour! It also feels sturdier than the Makeup Revolution lipsticks, where the tops come off so easily!!

The formula of this lipsticks is creamy and moisturising, they really feel nice when applied on the lips. The colours I have picked are nicely pigmented. The longevity of Lip geek lipsticks is not bad, however like every moisturising lip product it won't stay on your lips for ever!

And last but not least is my favourite lip product from the whole range! Wow lip glosses are cute and little, perfect to slip into a pocket or a clutch bag. They have a good colour selection, however some colours are very similar to each other so maybe more of a variety would be nice. Pigmentation is great in most colours. I have to say that the formula of these is fantastic, they are not sticky at all but somehow cling on to your lip and stay put for a good amount of time for a lipgloss!

All in all I am impressed with new products that they have brought out. My favourite two must be the heart blushers and wow lip glosses. But it is worth popping on their website and checking more products out as they are so cheap!

I also have a haul video on my channel so please go and check that out to see products in action:)

PS. All the products have been bought with my own money and the opinions are my own and honest.

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette dupe! Amazing !!

Today I'm going to show you swatches and review a new eyeshadow palette that I recently purchased, and even be as brave and call it a dupe for Urban Decay Naked 3 palette!

Makeup Revolution London was brought to my attention by Jane on BBB, when she reviewed some of their make up. Instantly I went onto their website and checked out the range they carry.

Prices are certainly enticing as they start at £1! The palette Iconic 3 was £4. And dare I say what a bargain!!

Here is what the palette looks like from the back and in the pans. It is slightly larger than MUA and Sleek palettes, but not by much. The shadow pans are not too narrow so you can still access them easily, even using your fingers. It comes with a sponge applicator, but I don't tend to use these.

Here are the swatches of both palettes. Top row is by Revolution Makeup Iconic 3 and bottom is Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. As you can see the colours are extremely similar if not identical on most of the swatches! This picture has been taken using flash.

This is the natural light picture. As you can see the first eyeshadow Strange is slightly more pigmented than the Revolution one, but the colour is buildable and once on the lid you really can't tell the difference. The other major difference I spotted within the eyeshadows is colour Dust and it's equivalent. In the UD palette the shadow is more glittery and definitely more chalky, the RM one is more shimmery. I certainly prefer the finish of the Iconic 3 shadow!
Last most visible difference is in the shadow Blackheart. In Revolution palette the shade comes off as it has more red sparkle than the Urban Decay one. I suppose what everyone was expecting with the Naked 3 palette is to have more of that red shimmer coming through, and this is what Iconic 3 delivers.

Overall I love the Iconic 3 palette. Most of the shadows are not chalky at all (unlike some UD ones!), they blend well, having worn them for a couple of days (always with my NYX HD primer) I can safely say they don't crease and don't budge. It is certainly a worthy dupe for Naked 3 palette and a bargain as these shadows should be much more expensive for the quality you're getting there. The packaging doesn't look expensive and you can see that, but essentially it's the product that matters here.

I am going to leave you with this last picture. The eye on the left is done using Revolution Makeup Iconic 3 palette and the eye on the right is done using Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I personally prefer the finish on the left, it opens my eye a little bit more and looks more vibrant. I used Dust on the eyelid, Nooner to blend the crease out, Blackheart in the outer v and Strange under my brow bone to tidy up the crease and the equivalent from the RM palette.

Let me know what you think about the palette and if you had a chance to try it out already!

Make up UK & US haul. What is new at the drugstore?!

Goodness knows why I purchased more things again??!! I think it's just too tempting not to when you have 3 for 2 offers everywhere you go and beauty goodies packed so nicely in the juicy colours of spring! I was a naughty girl but as I don't treat myself to any new clothes I thought I am allowed to spend more money on make up;)

So here are my little finds!

So firstly on my list was Superdrug and some budget lipstick buys. Beauty UK and Collection has some gorgeous shades out which I simply had to buy! Especially that there was an offer buy one get one half price! From the top left Beauty UK: 03 Snob (dusty pink nude in matte), 07 In The Buff, 10 Passion & 17 Plumalicious. Bottom row is by Collection Deluxe: 02 Tallulah, 04 Speakeasy, 01 Prohibition. All of the colours are gorgeous and very creamy except Snob that is a matte finish.

Then browsing for some new spring clothes for Annabell I stumbled across a make up display in H&M! I picked up 3 Lip Tints and one gold liquid eyeliner. From the top Hot Pink, Raspberry Red & Deep Red. They do remind me of Lip Tars by OCC and Sleek Pout Paints , but I haven't had a chance to test them yet so not sure about the staying power!

And then for my US crazy lipstick haul! Most of the things you see below have been ordered from drugstore.com and delivered to my friend's address who lives in America, as they don't ship internationally!

But up first is the package from nyx.com! Just savour those beautiful colours of the packaging!!
I got some new lip butter lipsticks and lip glosses and to accompany those 3 lip liners!

So from the top left to right are Butter Lipsticks: Pop, Sweet Tarte, Razzle & Hunk.
In the middle are Butter Glosses: Strawberry Parfait, Sugar Cookie & Raspberry Tarte.
And bottom row are 3 lip liners in Soft Pink, Hot Pink & Plum.
I love the colours and formulas, pigmentation is great as well and packaging deserves A+!

Next up are goodies from L'oreal and Maybelline. On top are L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstics in colours 104 Dancing Rose, 201 Rose Symphony, 106 Fuchsia Orchestra & 403 Purple Prelude. I ordered them as in the US they have much bigger colour selection! I love the formula and pigmentation, they don't stay on your lips for ever but I still love them!
Bottom row is a little but sad a there are only two Maybelline Color Sensational Elixir lipglosses, but after hearing lots of positive feedback about them I was just curious to try them out! So from left to right we've got 010 Celestial Coral & 030 Raspberry Rhapsody. I fell in love with the packaging as it's shaped like a lipstick in a clear rectangular clear case!

And last but certainly not least are goodies by Milani. Oh my gosh do I love Milani or what?! I really do wish they carried this brand in the UK as well! So I got two lip products that have recently came out and on top you've got Milani Lip Intense liquid lip sticks kind of things. From th left: Fiery Coral, Pink Rave & Violet Addict. These are gorgeous, not only stay on the lips for a long time, they we so vibrant and easy to apply! Certainly my favs!!

And then the bottom row are Milani Power Lip stains, from the left: Creamy Cafe, Macaroon, Mango Tango, Pink Lemonade, Raspberry Tarte & Cabaret Blend.
I love the colours and the fact that the product in itself is quite small and not too bulky ideal for a small make up bag on the go! The staying power is fantastic as well and colour selection. Unfortunately the reason why I wouldn't repurchase this product is because of its packaging. It's a twist tube with a brush at the end. You never know how much product to squeeze out and it's more difficult in my opinion to distribute it around the lips.

I also have got some other bits and bobs which you can check out in my video on you tube!

Recent releases and drugstore haul

So recently I was sucked into buying some of the new stuff from the high street. I also managed to snap up a few other bits that might have been released ages ago but were quite hyped so I decided to purchase them as well:)

Here are all the little finds I managed to get my hands on!

Starting with a Sleek package, I finally got some more of the pout paints, which most people claim are just like the OCC Lip Tars just cheaper!

From top to bottom: Mauve over, rosette, milkshake & peachy keen.
They are super glossy at first but then they stain your lips, I love the opacity and the colour range! It's a must have for any make up lover!

New blush in Pink Lemonade

Including two pressed powder colours and one cream blush.

Garden of Eden eyeshadow palette by Sleek with gorgeous selection of shades especially for brown eyed girls!

New Revlon Colourburst Lip balms! Finally here after seeing them on so many American you tube channels! From left to right lacquer balms in 120 &115 and matt ones in 205 &220. They have slightly minty /pepperminty smell to them which I am not a huge fan of but it soon goes away. I really like the formula of both, I think the pigmentation for lip crayons is fantastic and the staying power is great too!

And then last swatch of the Revolution lipsticks by Urban Decay. The hot pink one on the left is called Anarchy and the one on the right is called Turn On and is a vibrant but dusty pinky colour. It really resembles my lip colour. I absolutely love those lipsticks, they are creamy, rich and highly pigmented, I already own Venom and I like it I just needed something more toned for everyday use:)

I also got new Miss Manga mascara by L'Oreal, and as much as I like the look it creates on your lashes I really don't understand the bendy wand idea:/ It just bends when I need to get deep to the roots of my lashes, all in all I'm not a fan!

And then last but not least is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in Classic Ivory. And as much as I like the texture of it I'm not sure if its only me or what but it super oxidised on my face making me look like an orange! I will be picking a different shade just to give it another go before I completely scrap the idea of this foundation. It has great reviews both in blog world and you tube so maybe it's just the shade that doesn't suit me.

Also don't forget to check out my video:)

Sleek iDivine Garden of Eden palette review with swatches!

As I promised I will be more active on my blog this year:) So here is my second post on this new Sleek palette Garden of Eden. I bought it online for £7.99 along with some pout paints and the new blush by 3 palette in Pink Lemonade. I will review this later on in the week!

This palette has a gorgeous selection of colours and nice variety of finishes. It is a perfect palette for brunettes but not only!

Picture taken from sleek.com

Here is the picture of the palette inside. Nothing is different about the packaging, it's sturdy and sleek. I always loved Sleek eye palettes for their huge mirror! I just wish they would have a little label at the back of the palette with names of colours because I already have lost the little clear plastic lid with all the shadow names.

This palette has a lovely selection of browns and greens but also some pinky/ mauvy colours. I was really drawn to the green shades as I don't have a lot of them in my collection even though they are so flattering on brown eyes!

The palette has 7 shimmery shades, 2 with gold speckles and 3 matt ones. All the shimmery shadows here have been swatched only once. The matt shades are nicely pigmented except light green one called Adam's Apple, which is so sheer it looks more like a little bruise than a swatch! I might try putting it over a white base to make it more visible! The biggest disappointment are two eyeshadows with gold sparkles in them, they are called Forbidden and Entwined. They are nice colours, but not only not very well pigmented the speckles of gold don't show up on the swatch.

All in all the palette has a fantastic range of shades. I love most of them! And the quality of the eyeshadows is great considering you are only spending £7.99. It makes a nice addition to my Sleek eye palette collection so I would definitely recommend it:)

Do you have one? I would love to hear what you think about it!

MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy stud eyeshadow palette review with swatches

Ok, my new years resolution is to make more use of my blog. Not only for beauty purposes but also to document our everyday life and the special moments that happen:) And I think this year there is going to be at least one very special moment, but I will talk about it in my next post!

Today I wanted to review for you a new eyeshadow palette from Make Up Academy Luxe.

It is pretty obvious I am talking about new MUA Pretty Edgy palette.

It's safe to say that I was won over by the packaging alone! It's gorgeous, it's edgy, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy but it's not too bulky considering the studs...

The outer case is shiny so you can see finger marks quite easily however just one swipe of a wet wipe or tissue gets rid of all the mess which is a bonus if you like keeping your palettes nice and tidy:)

These are the names of the colours in the palette.
From left to right top to bottom:
Antique, Bow, Toile, Ruffle, Flounce, Lace
Sinful, Gothic, Wrath, Envy.

Those are the colours taken without flash in natural light.

Picture taken in natural sunlight.

Swatches of top row here are gorgeous. Picture taken in natural sunlight. They are subtle and shimmery with great array of colours from very light through neutral to more browney ones.

The bottom row is all matt, and yet again the colour combo in here is fantastic! Sinful is a perfect colour for blending the crease, very subtle and skin like and the rest of colours are fantastic to accent the outer corner of the eye. Can I also add that I am super impressed by MUA for coming up with such pigmented matt eyeshadows! Picture taken in natural sunlight.

All in all the quality of the eyeshadows is great, considering the price. I love all the shimmery colours and I am very impressed by the matts in this palette. Most of the shades are nice to work with. You might experience a little bit of fallout on some of the eyeshadows but you come across this in higher end palettes as well so it's not a huge problem.

The variety of colours is perfect for everyday use but also you can create a stunning evening look with those. I absolutely love the packaging and did I mention it has a huge mirror inside which is a huge plus especially if you want to take a palette with you when you are travelling!
I found myself using this palette on everyday basis for the last couple of weeks so for me it's an absolute must have!

I bought it for £8 on MUA website as my local Superdrug doesn't have it in stock.

Also check out my video review on you tube!
 Speak to you soon! xxx
